Armando Perna (born April 25, 1981 in Palermo ) is an Italian football player who has been playing for FC Modena since 2004 , where he occupies the position of central defender .
Career
Armando Perna began his career in 1998 with US Palermo , which at that time was still playing in Serie C , today's Lega Pro Prima Divisione . But after only six appearances in the 1998/99 season, he was awarded the following season to the Serie A club Udinese Calcio , where he did not play a single game. After he returned the following season to Palermo and denied five league games, he moved to league rivals in July 2001 AS Livorno with whom he promoted to the Serie B managed. But even there he did not get beyond the role of substitute player and played 22 games in two seasons. Even so, he was awarded to Salernitana Calcio for the 2003/04 season . In Salerno he became a solid pillar of the defense and played 38 league games. There he also scored his very first goal of his career on January 18, 2004 in the 3-1 defeat by Atalanta Bergamo . In 2004 Perna was sold to FC Modena and established a regular place there. In the winter break of the 2006/07 season he was awarded for half a year to the Serie A playing FC Parma , where he completed six missions. He also played in the 2006/07 UEFA Cup against Portuguese club Sporting Braga . On March 18, 2011, he scored his first goal ever for the club in the game against Sassuolo Calcio after seven years in Modena.
