Armenia Balducci (born March 13, 1933 in Rome ) is an Italian actress , screenwriter and film director .

Life

Balducci had been elected Miss Testaccio early on and had a short career as an actress, in which she cultured and fine performances under the pseudonym Bella Visconti delivered, which lasted three years and six films from 1953; only in 1970 did she return to the cameras for an appearance in Sacco e Vanzetti . She also played the theater; she was politically active (together with her long-time partner Gian Maria Volontè ) in various left-wing parties and was twice the section secretary of Elio Petri . In 1978 and 1980 she made two films as a director, which threw critical and satirical looks at the bourgeoisie and their police representatives, but were financially flops. From 1986 to 1993 and again in 2002 she worked as a screenwriter for Giuseppe Ferrara's films. In the same year her film, La rivincita , shot on digital material , premiered at the Tierra di Siena Film Festival .
