Armin Reichel (born January 31, 1958 in Glan-Münchweiler ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper and today's coach .

Career

In 1973 Armin Reichel came from his youth club SV Glan-Münchweiler to 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In 1980 he made it into the professional squad and was initially second goalkeeper behind Ronnie Hellström . 1981/82 with 25 games - initially after a long-lasting injury to Hellström - and 1982/83 with 30 games he was the goalkeeper. During this time Reichel also played 14 games in the UEFA Cup . Hellström was able to recapture his regular place in goal in 1983/84, his last season at FCK. Reichel remained as a substitute goalkeeper until 1985 and then moved to Tennis Borussia Berlin in the 2nd Bundesliga . Here he was a regular goalkeeper, but rose with his club from the second division and left the club again after only one season.

Reichel went back to the southwest, where 1. FC Saarbrücken was his next stop and he stayed in the 2. Bundesliga . With Saarbrücken he was mostly in a relegation battle until 1988. In 1988/89 the sporting situation improved, but Reichel had meanwhile been pushed into the second member, so that in 1989 he moved one class lower to the upper division Wormatia Worms . He stayed here for almost ten years, won the Southwest Cup in 1992 , was relegated to the Association League in 1993 with the club and was promoted again in 1998. In the winter break of 1998/99 he left the club and played from then on for the association league club Eintracht Bad Kreuznach . In 1999/2000, in his second and last season in Bad Kreuznach, he was promoted to the top division. Reichel remained in the Association League Southwest and after this station played for three years at VfR Grünstadt and from 2003 at TuS Altleiningen. Here he competed in the Vorderpfalz district league until 2006 and was then able to celebrate promotion to the regional league. Until 2009, now 51 years old, he guarded the Altleininger Tor.

In 2009 Armin Reichel was coach of the FSV Abenheim in the district class Worms, where he was released in October of the same year.

Reichel stands for the traditional team of 1. FCK in the goal.
