Arnaud Bovy (born September 17, 2000 in Liège ) is a Belgian tennis player .

Career

As a youth player in 2018, Bovy played three of the four junior Grand Slam tournaments and achieved his best result in Wimbledon in the singles round of 16. At the end of the year, he was best placed 26th in the junior ranking. In 2018 he took part in all three competitions of the Summer Youth Olympic Games and was eliminated in the first round.

Since 2019 he has been regularly participating in professional tournaments, especially those of the third-class ITF Future Tour . In doubles he was able to win two tournaments at this level in his first year as a professional; in singles he was in the final once in May. Bovy had his only appearance outside of futures in October 2019 at the side of his compatriot Steve Darcis , with whom he was in the main field of the European Open , a tournament on the ATP Tour . The tournament officials gave them a wildcard . At the beginning they were defeated there by Pablo Cuevas and Máximo González in two sentences. In the world rankings , the Belgian reached his previous career high in November with a placement in the top 700.
