Arndt Spieth (2013)

Arndt Spieth (* 1962 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt ) is a German geographer , author and freelance journalist.

Life

Arndt Spieth studied geography with the minor subjects botany and geology at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the University of Durham . He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Tübingen in the Applied Geography department of the Geographical Institute with Dieter Eberle, where he was primarily concerned with the optimization of the environmental impact assessment (EIA). Since his studies, he has been particularly interested in historical, current urban planning and cultural issues in Baden-Württemberg as well as ecological issues.

In addition to the ADAC TourSet map Stuttgart, Swabian Alb, Upper Danube , he wrote a. a. Guide to cities in Baden-Württemberg. He took many of the photos in his books himself.

Arndt Spieth lives and writes in Tübingen. He is a grandson of Fritz Wenninger .
