Arne Risa

Arne Risa ( Arne Roald Risa; born May 5, 1944 in Bergen ) is a former Norwegian obstacle and long-distance runner .

In 1968 he was seventh at the European Indoor Games in Madrid over 3000 m and eighth at the Olympic Games in Mexico City over 3000 m obstacle .

The following year he was sixth over 3000 m obstacle at the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1969 . At the EM in 1971 in Helsinki he came in 14th place over 10,000 m and eliminated over 3000 m obstacle in the preliminary run.

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he did not get past the first round over 5000 m and 10,000 m .

In 1974 he finished 17th at the European Championships in Rome over 10,000 m and failed over 3000 m obstacle again in the preliminary run.

Five times he was Norwegian champion over 10,000 m (1969-1972, 1974), twice over 3000 m obstacle (1968, 1969) and in cross-country running on the long distance (1969, 1972) and once in cross-country running on the short distance (1968).
