Arno Schenk (born April 11, 1883 in Obergrunstedt ; † December 7, 1943 in Schleiz ) was a German classical philologist and high school teacher.

Arno Schenk, the son of Otto Schenk and Anna geb. Tantz, attended the Wilhelm-Ernst-Gymnasium Weimar . After graduating in 1904, he studied law at the University of Jena . He later switched to classical philology. He attended lectures and exercises with the philologists Heinrich Gelzer , Rudolf Hirzel , the linguist Berthold Delbrück , the philosopher Rudolf Eucken , the historians Walther Judeich , Wilhelm Liebenam and Friedrich Keutgen . Most of all, however, he was shaped by the philologist Georg Goetz , who received Schenk on October 31, 1908 as Dr. phil. received his doctorate . On December 18, 1909, he passed the teaching exams in Greek, Latin and history.

Schenk was mainly concerned with the philosophical writings of the late antique author Isidore of Seville . He also wrote a fundamental article about this author together with August Schmekel and Hans Philipp in the real encyclopedia of classical antiquity (RE).

After completing his studies, Schenk went to school in Thuringia. From April 1, 1912, he taught as a regular teacher (later a teacher) at the Reformed Realgymnasium in Schleiz, which was converted into a high school for boys under the National Socialists . Schenk died on December 7, 1943 in Schleiz.
