Arnold Jakowlewitsch Nejbut

Arnold Jakowlewitsch Nejbut ( Latvian Arnolds Neibuts , * 1889 , † February 8, 1919 in Omsk ) was a Russian revolutionary of Latvian descent.

Nejbut became a Bolshevik in 1905 and did party work in Jelgava , Baku and Omsk. During the October Revolution he fought for soviet power in Siberia and the Far East. He was editor of the newspaper Krasnoye Snamja ( Russian Красное Знамя , in German Red Banner ). In November 1918 he became chairman of the Siberian Territorial Committee of the KPR (B), organizer of the fight against the Kolchak troops. On February 8, 1919, he was shot by White Guards .
