Arnulf Schumacher

Arnulf Schumacher (born April 1, 1940 in Ottersdorf ) is a German actor .

Schumacher has worked as an actor on stage as well as in film and television since 1963. Theater engagements took him to Baden-Baden, Münster, Bonn and Munich, where he was part of the ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele (artistic director Dieter Dorn ) from 1978 to 2001 . In 2001 he moved to the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel together with the artistic director Dorn. For over forty years as a stage actor, he played under numerous well-known directors such as Dieter Dorn, Ernst Wendt , George Tabori , Volker Schlöndorff , Peter Zadek , Thomas Langhoff and Franz Xaver Kroetz .

Schumacher repeatedly takes on roles in film and television, u. a. directed by Dominik Graf , Sönke Wortmann , Hans-Christian Schmid , Hartmut Griesmayr and Heinrich Breloer ( The Manns - A novel of the century ).
