Arrondissement of Metz-Ville

The arrondissement Metz-Ville (Metz-Stadt) was an administrative unit of the Moselle department within the French region of Lorraine . The main town (seat of the prefecture ) was Metz . It included the city of Metz and was divided into four cantons . The area was 42 square kilometers, the population (2012) 119,551, the population density 2846 inhabitants per square kilometer.

On January 1, 2015, it was merged with the arrondissement Metz-Campagne to form the new arrondissement Metz .
