The Arroyo Cardozo is a river in Uruguay .

It rises in the area of the department of Tacuarembó north of Achar in Cuchilla de Santo Domingo . From there it runs south to south-west. Not far it flows into the Río Negro as a right-hand tributary .

On its way south it is fed by numerous tributaries. These are the rivers Sarandí, Arroyo del Medio , de las Grutas, Sarandí, Fea, Arroyo Aguas Buenas , Arroyo de las Ánimas , Arroyo Tarumán , Arroyo Tala , Arroyo Guayabos and Fea on the right hand side from the upper reaches to the mouth . While joining Arroyo de Rolón , del Buey and del Arbolito on the left. At a short distance, the Arroyo Cardozo passes the towns of Achar, Cuchilla de Peralta , the immediately adjacent Cardozo and Chamberlain .
