The Arroyo Porongos is a river in the southern center of Uruguay .
The 67 km long river in the northeast of the Flores department rises immediately southwest of Cerro Colorado and a few kilometers south of the city of Trinidad in the Cuchilla Grande Inferior . From there it runs mainly from south to north, already under the Ruta 3 in the upper reaches near the source and finally flows into the Río Yí .
He is the namesake for the Uruguayan football club Porongos .
