The Arroyo de la India is a river in southeast Uruguay .
The 100 km long river in the Rocha department rises in the Cuchilla de la Carbonera in the west of the department and flows west-northeast into the Laguna Merín , to whose catchment area it also belongs. In the upper reaches there is a 127.5 km² reservoir, Lago or Represa de India Muerta , which was created to promote local rice cultivation.
