Arsenije Sremac
Arsenije Sremac (Арсеније Сремац, * 1219 in Dabar near Stari Slankamen ; † October 28, 1266 ) was the second archbishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church from 1233 to 1263 .
At the time of Arsenije's birth, the village in which he grew up belonged to the Kingdom of Syrmia . The exact date of birth is unknown. He became a student and Synkellos of the Sava of Serbia , whom he succeeded in office. In 1253 Arsenijes moved the seat of his monastery to what is now Kosovo .
His relics are now kept in Montenegro . Its feast day is October 28th, which according to the Julian calendar currently falls on November 10th of the Gregorian calendar .
