The Artega GT is a sports car manufactured by the Artega company .
Prototype and model history
The first prototype of an Artega sports car was presented to the public at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show .
A version with an electric drive (Artega SE) was in development. The first test vehicles were shown at the 64th IAA 2011.
At the Geneva Motor Show 2012, Artega presented another model of the Artega GT with a removable panorama roof. This consists of safety glass and, like a roadster, can be removed in a few simple steps. This turns the otherwise closed coupé into a sports car with a large, open roof cutout. The glass roof is stowed in a bag behind the seats while driving. The motor and direct shift gearbox as well as all technical safety modules are the same as in the closed Artega GT.
Production of the Artega GT was temporarily stopped on September 30, 2012 after 153 copies were produced.
Scalo
At the IAA 2015 Artega presented a further development of the GT under the name Scalo . Unlike the GT, it is electrically powered. Its two water-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motors can provide 195 kW for a short time and 150 kW continuously and have a maximum torque of 780 Nm. The electronic control unit is also water-cooled. The manufacturer specifies the maximum efficiency of the engines with up to 95% at 6900 rpm. The lithium-ion battery has a nominal capacity of 37 kWh and a nominal voltage of 411 V; it is combined with high-performance capacitors that mitigate load peaks. The battery's cooling circuit is separate from that for the motor and electronics. The batteries can be quickly charged in less than an hour; an output of 64 kW is required for this.
The € 170,000 Scalo is only built to order and has a range of up to 400 km.
technology
The body with the dimensions: length 401 cm, width 188 cm and height 118 cm was designed by the Dane Henrik Fisker . The two-seater is driven Sportcoupé by a 3.6-liter six-cylinder - VR engine 220 kW (300 hp) of VW , combined with a 6-speed direct shift . It sits in front of the rear axle ( mid-engine ). A maximum speed of 270 km / h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds are specified as driving performance. The vehicle has an empty weight of 1285 kg, consumes 9.6 l / 100 km and initially met the Euro 4 emissions standard , later models the Euro 5 emissions standard; Euro approval exists.
The body is at a predominant than 100 kilograms Aluminum - spaceframe constructed and consists of polyurethane . Vehicles built from September 2011 onwards have hood and roof units made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic . At the customer's request, these components can only be delivered with a clear coating so that the structure of the fabric remains visible. The side and conspicuous air inlets for the mid-engine are designed as standard. The safety concept includes an anti-lock braking system , electronic driving stability control, 4 airbags, belt tensioners, crash modules at the front, rear and in the doors, as well as steel reinforcement in the roof.
