Artemio Prati

Artemio Prati (born February 21, 1907 in Pontenure , † March 4, 2004 in Piacenza ) was an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Carpi .

Life

Artemio Prati was ordained a priest on March 15, 1930 .

John XXIII appointed him on December 31, 1952 Bishop of Carpi . The secretary of the Holy Consistorial Congregation , Adeodato Giovanni Cardinal Piazza OCD , ordained him episcopal on February 24 of the following year ; Co-consecrators were Umberto Malchiodi , Koadjutorerzbischof of Piacenza , and Vigilio Federico Dalla Zuanna OFMCap , former bishop of Carpi.

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father. On April 7, 1983, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
