Arthur König writes the Landtag Handbook Artur König (born January 22, 1876 in Rogätz , † after 1947) was a German politician and member of parliament ( SPD , SED ).

Arthur König attended elementary school for four years, grammar school for six years and then the teachers' college for four years . From 1895 to 1898 he was a teacher in Kehnert , from 1898 to 1901 he was a teacher in Burg near Magdeburg (first at the boys 'primary school, then at the boys' community school). From 1912 to 1933 he was the headmaster in Irxleben . In the time of National Socialism he was not allowed to teach for political reasons and in 1945 he was rector in Rogätz.

Between 1919 and 1933 Arthur König was parliamentary group leader of the SPD in the Wolmirstedt district and a member of the district committee, district savings bank executive and member of the SPD in the provincial parliament of the Prussian province of Saxony . After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he could not continue his political work and was under the supervision of the Gestapo .

From April to September 1945 he was appointed deputy mayor of Rogätz. In the semi-free state elections in the Soviet zone in 1946 , he was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt in constituency II ( Burg , Magdeburg , Schönebeck , Jerichow I , Wolmirstedt , Haldensleben , Wanzleben ) . On October 6, 1947, he resigned from parliament.
