Arthur Ney

Arthur Ney (born November 28, 1887 in Potsdam , † December 13, 1963 in Villars-sur-Ollon , Switzerland ) was a German-Swiss composer and conductor .

He received his musical training in Potsdam. In 1920 he became a Swiss citizen. He conducted the concert band Musikgesellschaft Interlaken , Spiez , Lyss , Schwyz , Sursee , Beckenried and Lucerne . From 1937 until his death, Ney lived as a freelance composer and publisher in Villars-sur-Ollon. He created numerous popular and extremely much played marches and overtures.
