Artjom Nikolajewitsch Jartschuk ( Russian Артём Николаевич Ярчук ; born May 3, 1990 in Yaroslavl , Russian SFSR ; † September 7, 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl) was a Russian ice hockey player who played for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Continental Hockey League played.

Career

Artyom Yarchuk passed through the junior division of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl . For the second team in the Russian third division, he was first used during the 2005/06 season. Two seasons later he made his breakthrough in the third-highest division when the striker scored 28 points in 31 games in the main round and took third place in the scorer list within the team. Also the season 2008/09 he started again in the second team of Lokomotive Yaroslavl and went for this in 31 games on the ice before the Russian hired during the season as a loan player at the second division Kapitan Stupino from the Wysschaja Liga . Another season followed as a loan player in the second Russian division, in which Jarchuk was active for HK Rys Podolsk and Juschny Ural Orsk . For the 2010/11 season he was brought back from his youth club Lokomotive Yaroslavl. During the same season, Yarchuk made his debut for the professional team of Lokomotive Yaroslavl in the Continental Hockey League . He stayed in 17 games without a scorer point , so the Russian ended the season at Loko Yaroslavl in the junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga .

Yarchuk was killed on September 7, 2011 in a plane crash near Yaroslavl .

International

For Russia , Jarchuk took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2008 . In six games, the striker contributed two goals to the silver medal win of the Russian selection.
