Artur Breitfeld

Artur Breitfeld (born February 9, 1899 in Erfurt , † July 7, 1967 in Grassau ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer , district administrator and judge at the Federal Administrative Court .

Life

Breitfeld began his career in 1924 as a court trainee and from 1925 as a government trainee until he worked as a government assessor for the district administrator of the Züllichau-Schwiebus district from 1927 . He was a member of the SPD until he was expelled from the party in 1932. From 1929 Breitfeld served as district administrator in the Ueckermünde district until he was sent into temporary retirement on October 26, 1933 when the NSDAP came to power . From 1934 to 1937 he worked in the government in Koslin and from 1938 in the government in Opole . In 1938 he switched to the Reich Commissioner for Pricing in Berlin , where he worked until 1945.

After the end of the war, he worked in the district administration in Merseburg from 1945 to 1947 . From 1947 to 1950, the year he fled the GDR , he was employed in the finance ministry of Saxony-Anhalt . In the Federal Republic of Germany he worked from 1950 to 1956 as a Senate Councilor in the Senate Department for the Interior in Berlin. From October 1, 1956 to September 30, 1961, Breitfeld was a federal judge at the Federal Administrative Court.
