Arturo Vélez Martínez (born September 10, 1904 in Atlacomulco , State of México , Mexico , † August 22, 1989 ) was Bishop of Toluca .

Life

Arturo Vélez Martínez received on 29 June 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 8, 1951, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Toluca. The Archbishop of Mexico City , Luis María Martínez y Rodríguez , donated him episcopal ordination on April 11 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Zamora , José Gabriel Anaya y Diez de Bonilla , and the Archbishop of Monterrey , Guillermo Tritschler y Córdoba .

On September 21, 1979, Pope John Paul II accepted Arturo Vélez Martínez's resignation because of his age.
