Alfredo Torres Romero

Alfredo Torres Romero (born August 8, 1922 in Puruàndiro , Michoacán , Mexico ; † October 15, 1995 ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Toluca .

Life

Alfredo Torres Romero received on 15 August 1945, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 30, 1967, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Vegesela in Byzacena and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Mexico . The Archbishop of Mexico City, Miguel Darío Miranda y Gómez , donated him episcopal ordination on February 25 of the following year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Apatzingán , Victorino Alvarez Tena , and the Bishop of Mexicali , Manuel Pérez-Gil y González .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 4, 1975 Coadjutor Bishop of Aguascalientes . However, he renounced this office the following year.

On July 26, 1980, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Toluca. The inauguration took place on September 29 of the same year.
