Arvid Laurentius Laurin (born October 3, 1901 in Lysekil , † May 6, 1998 in Sköldinge ) was a Swedish sailor .
successes
Arvid Laurin took part in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin with Uno Wallentin in the Star boat class . With their boat Sunshine they achieved 64 total points and finished the regatta , which took place in the Olympic harbor Düsternbrook in Kiel , one point ahead of the third-placed Dutch in second place. Behind the Olympic champions Peter Bischoff and Hans-Joachim Weise they received the silver medal.
Laurin was an engineer and created countless boat designs.
