Asche von Holle (* 1529 ; † May 3, 1594 ) was an early modern German entrepreneur .

Life

Asche von Holle was the son of Jobst von Holle and Anne Elisabeth von Bortfeld and was married to Hille von Marenholtz . In 1562 the Counts of Mansfeld-Mittelort pledged the Morungen office to Asche's brother-in-law Ludolf von Bortfeld, husband of Margarete von Marenholtz, for 13,000 thalers and 13,000 gold guilders. In the following year, Holle became the sole owner of the pledged Morungen office, which was based in Großleinungen .

Ashes of Holle took over in 1566 the iron trade of the Count of Regenstein was 1575 Drost of the pin Hildesheim to Peine and Marienburg (until 1584) and was also a colonel working for the Elector of Brandenburg. Due to the increasing indebtedness of the Counts of Stolberg , it came from 1574 to 1584 in the possession of the Elbingerode (Harz) office.

As early as 1571, Asche von Holle sold the pledge of the Morungen and Leinungen offices to Andreas Kahl and henceforth concentrated his entrepreneurial activities only on the northern Harz region. Kahl still referred to himself as the holder of the offices of Morungen and Leinungen in 1574.

After his death a printed funeral sermon was published.
