Ashley Baker (born March 15, 1990 in Grantham ) is an English football goalkeeper .

Career

society

From 2009 to 2010 Baker played for the W-League participant Tampa Bay Hellenic , followed by two years with the Atlanta Silverbacks , with whom she won the championship in 2011. At the beginning of 2013, Baker was committed in the college draft for the newly founded NWSL in the third round at position 20 by Sky Blue. She made her league debut on June 1, 2013 against the Boston Breakers . In that game, she came on in the 90th minute for Brittany Cameron and was faced with a penalty from her compatriot Lianne Sanderson in stoppage time , which she was able to save. That brief stint remained Baker's only game for Sky Blue, as she was dropped from the squad on July 31st to allow midfielder Ashley Nick to be signed. For the 2014 season she returned to the Atlanta Silverbacks.

National team

Baker was a member of England's U-19, U-20 and U-23 national teams. She took part in the U-19 European Championships in 2008 and 2009 , as well as the U-20 World Championships in 2008 and 2010 , as a substitute goalkeeper .
