Ashley Robinson (born August 12, 1982 in Dallas , Texas , United States ) is a professional basketball player. She most recently played as a center for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association in the 2013 season .

Career

college

Ashley Robinson played for the University of Tennessee women's basketball team until 2004 .

WNBA

Robinson was selected in the 2004 WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury in 14th place overall. After she came only as a substitute for short appearances in the 2004 rookie season, the operating times increased in the 2005 season and Robinson was part of the Mercury starting lineup in at least 15 games. In the 2006 season , the Chicago Sky joined the WNBA and decided in the expansion draft for Robinson. So she played for Chicago at the beginning of the 2006 season . However, she was transferred to the Seattle Storm during the season for Cisti Greenwalt and a draft pick . Robinson played in Seattle until the 2011 season . During her time in Seattle, she was mostly used as a supplementary player. In 2010 , Robinson won the WNBA championship with the Storm team, even if it was only used for seven minutes in four playoff games. In 2012 Robinson played one season for the Washington Mystics team . At the end of her WNBA career, she played a few games for the Seattle Storm in 2013.

After the 2013 season , Robinson did not play any more games in the WNBA. Up to this point, she played in 10 WNBA seasons in the regular season 292 games, she was 55 May in the starting lineup and scored 556 points, 733 rebounds and 149 assists. In 19 playoff games (including 3 in the starting lineup), she scored 21 points, 43 rebounds and 9 assists.

Europe

Ashley Robinson plays like many WNBA players in Europe during the WNBA season break. She was on the field for teams from Turkey, Spain and the Czech Republic. Most recently she played in the 2011/12 season for the Czech team of Frisco Sika Brno .
