The documentary portrays the life of the Cologne musician Jürgen Zeltinger .

Both old and new live recordings with interviews from companions and friends such as Heiner Lauterbach or Wolfgang Niedecken are shown. The viewer travels with Zeltinger through Cologne in the 1980s, drives through the USA in a motorhome and then sits with him again at his goldfish pond and listens to his stories. The guitarist Dennis Kleimann, who is a young musician from Zeltinger's band , plays a key figure in the film . He also plays a major role in Jürgen Zeltinger's real life: He is also the foster son, friend and patient helper for the still-quick-tempered 70-year-old.
