Asian Wings Airways is a Myanmar airline based in Yangon and based at Yangon International Airport .
history
Asian Wings Airways began operations on January 27, 2011 and is owned by Sun Far Travels and Tours Company Ltd. From the beginning, three ATR 72-500 and one Airbus A321-100 were used. In 2013, the Japanese airline All Nippon Airways wanted to buy a 49% stake in the airline for three billion Japanese yen . The purchase was canceled in 2014. It would have been the first foreign investment in an airline from Myanmar since the country's democratization.
