biography

Family, education and work

Krahmer attended the grammar school at Leibnizplatz in Bremen. In the 1960s he studied civil engineering at the Bremen Engineering School and was a student representative at the school. He then worked as a civil engineer at the construction company Carl Plötner in Bremen. In the 1970s he founded his construction company, which was successfully doing business in Germany as well as in Tunisia as the Karina Group .

During the period of German reunification , in 1990/91 he tried, among other things, through contacts with ex-transport minister Günther Krause (CDU) “to acquire the Rostock construction company Elbo with around 15,000 employees without a lot of money”.

In 1990 Krahmer wanted to buy housing construction and renovation combines in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg in order to develop a construction company from them. He concluded consultancy contracts with the companies, from which DM 41 million should have accrued in two years of consultancy. However, he did not succeed in financing the purchase price for the Elbo. However, he convinced the company's managing directors to pay more than DM 73 million into an escrow account of his notary for activities. He had to admit to the trust that he could not afford the purchase price of DM 170 million. He passed away in Singapore when the authorities investigated him. The notary was brought to justice in court.

His companies went bankrupt after his death . The Treuhandanstalt managed to get 62 million DM back of the paid liquidity aid of 120 million DM. Part of the combine was then sold to the Hegemann Group .

Krahmer was married and lived in Bremen- Huchting .
