Asier Antonio Marcos (born July 10, 1979 in Irún ) is a former Spanish handball player .

Career

The 2.02 meter tall and 100 kilogram heavy cyclist played for Bidasoa Irún from 1997 to 2002 , for CB Cantabria Santander from 2002 to 2004 and for BM Valladolid from 2004 to 2012 . With Valladolid he won the Copa del Rey de Balonmano in the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons and the European Cup Winners' Cup in the 2008/09 season . From 2012, Asier Antonio Marcos was under contract with BM Aragón . In January 2015 he moved to the Portuguese first division club Benfica Lisbon . For the 2015/16 season he joined the French club Cavigal Nice Handball . There he ended his career in 2018.

Asier Antonio Marcos made 15 appearances for the Spanish national team , but remained without a goal.
