Askari Mohammadian , Persian عسکری محمديان, (Born March 2, 1963 in Sari ) is a former Iranian freestyle wrestler and current coach. He participated in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona .

Askari Mohammadian celebrated his greatest international success with two silver medals, which he won at his two Olympics in 1988 in Seoul in the "bantamweight (57 kg)" and in 1992 in Barcelona in the "featherweight (62 kg)".

Further successes of Mohammadian are winning the silver medal in the "bantamweight (57 kg)" at the World Wrestling Championships 1989 in Martigny , a gold ( Asian Games 1986 in Seoul ) and silver medal ( Asian Games 1982 in New Delhi ) at the Asian Games and a gold - and silver medal, which he won at the Asian Championships in Tehran in 1983 and in Oarai in 1989 .
