Aslan Kərimov (also Aslan Kerimow ; Azerbaijani Aslan Səməd oğlu Kərimov ; born January 1, 1973 in Baku , AsSSR ) is an Azerbaijani football player . He is a midfielder and began his career in 1989 at Termist Baku . After playing in Baku for three years, he moved to Qarabağ Ağdam in 1992 . After playing for Neftçi Baku from 1996 to 1997 and for FK Gəncə from 1997 to 1998 , he went to Russia in 1999 to join Baltika Kaliningrad . However, he stayed there for only one year and signed with Şəmkir in Baku for two years in 2000 . Since 2002 he has played again with Qarabağ Ağdam as their captain. In his sporting career he was four times Azerbaijani champion with three different clubs (1993, 1998, 2000, 2001), one runner-up (1994) and won the Azerbaijani Cup three times with Qarabağ (1993, 2006, 2009).

Since 1994 he has also been a player in the Azerbaijani national football team and has since played 76 games for his country, making him the record national player of Azerbaijan and replacing Tərlan Əhmədov .
