The FBI -Agentin Lauren Jacobs is with the protection of Senators appointed Alan Laskey, who was the first African American to the post of President of the United States candidate. Laskey is murdered and Jacobs is blamed for the failure of the protective measures. Jacobs then quits her job at the FBI and works as an art teacher.
Some time later, Jacobs receives evidence that there was a plot behind the murder of Laskey. She investigates the background, supported by her friend Jack Byrne. Jacobs and Byrne find a videotape that proves the existence of a conspiracy. The son of the murdered senator wants to publish it at a press conference. Fake FBI agents try to kill Jacobs and Byrne and blow up the building - but they are defeated in a fight.

Jack Sommersby wrote on EFILMCRITIC.COM that the political thriller with " too familiar " elements made little sense. He praised the portrayal of Sherilyn Fenn that one could like.
