Astrid Blome

Astrid Blome (* 1965 ) is a German historian .

Life

She studied history and art history at the University of Hamburg and received her doctorate from the University of Bremen with a thesis on the German reception of Russia in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. She then taught and researched at the University of Bremen and at the Institute for German Press Research and represented a. a. 2008 junior professorship for the Early Modern Age at the University of Bremen. 2010 habilitation them at the University of Hamburg with a study of the formation and functions of the local and regional press ( Venia legendi of Modern History). She was a curator for newspapers and press at the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz . She is currently the head of the Institute for Newspaper Research in Dortmund .
