At All Cost was an American metalcore band from Austin , Texas that was formed in 2002 and split in 2009.

history

The band was formed in early 2002. The first appearances and work on the first sound carrier followed. This followed in 2003 via The Imprint / Fiddler Records as an EP under the name Shattered Dreams and Bourgeois Schemes . In 2005, the group was the first band to release a record on the revived Combat Records label . This happened in September with the debut album It's Time to Decide . The band consisted of bassist Bobby Andrews, guitarists Michael "Mike" Carrigan Theobald and Trey Ramirez, drummer Grant Anderson and singer and keyboardist Andrew Collins. At the beginning of December the band played with The Banner . Tours with Norma Jean and Darkest Hour followed before the band signed a deal with Century Media in early 2007 . In the same year, the label released the second album Circle of Demons . After the band had announced their breakup in 2008, a last show followed in December 2009 together with The Jonbenét , after which both bands broke up. At the performance of At All Cost all past and current members were represented on the stage. After the breakup, Mike Carrigan joined Hour. On December 21, 2012 the band got together again to play a concert in Austin on the doomsday day misinterpreted by the Mayan calendar . Other bands here were Recover , Employer, Employee , Pack of Wolves , The Visitors , Assacre , Krum Bums and Spiritual Wives .

style

On their debut It's Time to Decide , the band played aggressive metalcore, with the use of a vocoder being characteristic. In addition, non-genre instruments such as a slide guitar , an organ or a violin are occasionally used. On the second album Circle of Demons influences from different genres like emo , rock , alternative and punk could be heard.
