Athanasios Tsigas ( Greek Αθανάσιος Τσίγκας , born September 20, 1982 in Aristino , Greece ) is a Greek football player . He is used in the position of the center forward.

Career

Athanasios Tsigas began his career at the Alexandroupoli- based amateur club PAE Thraki Alexandroupoli . In 2000 he moved to Paniliakos Pirgos in the Peloponnese , where he stayed for a total of four years. With Paniliakos Tsigas rose in the 2002/2003 season in the first Greek league and played a total of 48 games in which he was able to score seven goals. In 2004 he moved to Athens league rivals Kallithea FC , where he was able to conquer a regular place in his first season and score seven goals in 26 competitive games. In the summer of 2006 he first moved to Panathinaikos Athens , where he was loaned to PAOK Thessaloniki after only a few weeks as part of an exchange deal . He eventually returned to Panathinaikos after just a few months after PAOK was unable to meet outstanding salary payments. He was then loaned to Atromitos Athens in early January . After the loan ended, he did not stay in Athens, but switched to AE Larisa . In September 2009 he went to AO Kerkyra , where he was supposed to play until 2012 and then to play again with Larisa for a good year. In mid-September 2013 he then moved to Glyfada FC , but only stayed there until mid-December and was then without a club. From the 2014/15 season he played for Ionikos Nikeas , but in January 2015 he went back to Kallithea FC and played the season there to the end. Since then he has been without a club.
