The Atlas Publisher is a Swiss publishing of collected works and objects, based in Vaud Cheseaux-sur-Lausanne . It belongs to the DeAgostini group of companies , which operates other collective work publishers in France and Italy under the name Atlas .

Emerging from the Swiss publishing house Éditions Rencontre ( double . About Edition meeting ) distributes the Atlas publishing since 1976 mainly in the PRC made from Zamak existing miniature models and the matching topic-specific printing units (usually four to six-page documentation ). The range mainly includes automobiles , locomotives , trams , airplanes and sculptures . In addition, multi-part documentaries on the subjects of "Children", "Kitchen, House, Garden", "Leisure & Hobby" and "Geography & History" are available.

The publisher operates in sixteen European countries. He pretends to work closely with specialist editors , but this has repeatedly been questioned in articles in the specialist press, as many models have construction errors that are incomprehensible to specialists. In 2005, the Swiss Atlas publishing house, together with Provea, which is also part of the group, contributed around 28 percent of the total turnover of 625 million euros for the entire Atlas group of companies.

In its first issue in 2003, the Swiss Observer warned potential customers to be cautious. If they didn't pay attention to the “small print”, they would receive unwanted series deliveries.

In 2017 it was announced that the publisher intends to close its business by 2019. No new series of compilations will be developed.
