Attila Fiola (born February 17, 1990 in Szekszárd ) is a Hungarian football player . Fiola has been playing for Videoton FC since summer 2016 .

Career

In January 2009 Fiola moved from the U-19 to the first team of Paksi FC . He made his debut in the highest Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság , on April 18, 2009, the 23rd match day. In the 1-1 draw against Zalaegerszegi TE FC , he came on the field for Tamás Kiss in the final minute . In the 2010/11 season he was runner-up with Paksi FC. So he got his first appearance in an international club competition during the season. In qualifying for the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League , he played for the first time in the first qualifying round against UE Santa Coloma from Andorra.

On January 20, 2015, Fiola moved to league rivals Puskás Akadémia FC. Here he signed a contract until June 30, 2018. When the Hungarian first division was reduced from 16 to 12 teams after the 2014/15 season, the club was able to hold the league. However , the club ended the 2015/16 season on a relegation zone.

Fiola was a top performer at Puskás Akadémia FC , despite relegation to the 2nd Hungarian League. Therefore, he moved to Videoton FC on August 31, 2016 . His contract runs until June 30, 2019. The transfer fee is € 650,000

National team

Fiola played a total of 13 games for the U-21s of Hungary from 2010 to 2012 , including qualifying for the U-21 European Championship 2013 , in which the Hungarians missed the final round as fourth in the group.

He made his senior national team debut on October 14, 2014 in a 1-0 win over the Faroe Islands in qualifying for the 2016 European Championship . He came into play for Nemanja Nikolics in the second half . He was also used in nine other qualifying games, including the two relegation games against Norway , in which Hungary secured a place in the European Championship finals again after 44 years.

On May 9th he was appointed to the provisional EM squad and on May 31st he was also considered for the final squad. After being nominated for the squad, he played an 82-minute mission in the last test match in the 2-0 defeat against world champions Germany , where he was rated “poor” by the kicker as one of two Hungarians. Nevertheless, he was in the starting eleven in the European Championship opening game against Austria and played over 90 minutes. However, he suffered an ankle injury and could not be used in the remaining three games until he was eliminated in the second round.
