Attilio Zuccagni
Attilio Zuccagni (born January 10, 1754 , † October 21, 1807 in Florence ) was an Italian botanist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Zuccagni ".
Live and act
He was personal physician at the court of the Duke of Tuscany, Praefectus at the Botanical Garden and director of the Natural History Museum in Florence from 1775. He also traveled to Spain and Portugal. In 1801 he wrote Synopsis plantarum horti regii florentini ... In 1806 he wrote the work " Centuria prima observationum botanicarum quas in horto regio florentino ... ".
Honor taxon
The genus Zuccagnia Cav. from the legume family (Fabaceae) has been named after him.
