Location of Ausernbrünst in Bavaria

Ausernbrünst is a district of the Röhrnbach market in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau . Until 1976 it formed an independent community.

Ausernbrünst is located in the Bavarian Forest about two kilometers south of Röhrnbach near the Erlau and the federal road 12 , from which the state road 2131 branches off here.

history

Ausernbrünst belonged to the office Röhrnbach in the district court Leoprechting of the Hochstift Passau and in 1787 consisted of 15 properties. After secularization in Bavaria , the Wolfstein Regional Court was established in 1806. There it formed a tax district in 1806 and a municipality in 1811, which last belonged to the Wolfstein district, so named in 1939 . In 1952 the districts were Ausernbrünst, Bruckmühle, Deching, Ernsting, Haberlmühle, Irlesberg, Kaltenstein and Steinerleinbach.

Tertiary deposits formed the basis for the foundation of the Bachl brickworks in 1926 about one kilometer north of Ausernbrünst in Deching, today Karl Bachl GmbH & Co. KG . In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the community of Ausernbrünst was incorporated into the community of Röhrnbach on January 1, 1976. The last mayor was Karl Bachl senior from 1966 until the municipality was dissolved in 1976.

Attractions

  • Filial Church of the Holy Trinity. It was built from 1968 to 1970 after the old village chapel was demolished as a mess chapel according to plans by the architect Winfried Russ. The artistic interior was designed by the sculptor Leopold Hafner . With the consecration of the tabernacle on September 9, 2014, the chapel was elevated to a church.
