The nature reserve Schleifwiesen and Nußloch near Lindach is a nature reserve in Kolitzheim in the district of Schweinfurt .
history
The protected area was placed under protection by the authorities on 1985, the area of the protected area was expanded in 2007 from 10.3 to 15.5 hectares.
Geography and geology
The nature reserve is shown in two spatially separated areas. The grinding meadows to the north are a one- to two-mahd meadow area created by land consolidation from many small green areas. The "Nußloch" south to north is one of the preferred Lerchenbergs layer swelling surface with grassland-wetland with Wet meadow with litter meadow nature, source bogs , small sedge vineyards , large sedge vineyards , reed beds and tall herb communities . The Nußloch is part of the Natura2000 area "Schweinfurt Basin and northern Steigerwaldvorland" as well as part of the Volkacher Mainschleife conservation area.
Flora and fauna
Meadow brooders such as snipe , lapwing , gray bunting and meadow harrier find a home in the grinding meadows . Native orchids and Siberian irises grow on the moist surfaces of the nuthole .
