The Elmuß nature reserve is a nature reserve in the Schweinfurt district . The protected alluvial forest is located between the Grafenrheinfeld nuclear power plant and the community of Röthlein . The 19.6 kilometer long hiking trail “Auenwaldweg Schweinfurt Mainbogen”, which runs through the alluvial forests of the Unkenbach, also passes there.

The protected area was placed under protection in 2001.

Flora and fauna

The nature reserve includes soft and hard wood alluvial forests of the Unkenbach with corresponding vegetation and fauna.
