Au is part of the municipality of Rehling in the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg . The church village high above the Lech Valley is about one kilometer south of Rehling.
history
In 1947 two graves from the Merovingian era were found.
1303 Au was first mentioned as "Quwe". In the Urbar of the Augsburg cathedral chapter called 1303 four major property, one of which in the hands of Ulrich von Rehling was and were subject to three the Augsburg Cathedral Chapter. Since 1322 Au belonged to the Hofmark Scherneck .
