Hofmark Scherneck
The Hofmark Scherneck (often also: Hofmark Rehling-Scherneck) was a Hofmark in the Aichach-Friedberg district .
history
The Hofmark Scherneck was one of the oldest court brands in the Oberland. It included Scherneck , Rehling , Au , Allmering , Rohrbach , Hardt, Sägmühl , Oberach , Unterach , Gungstetten and (single-shift) Alsmoos / Gebersdorf. The church patrons Rehling, Alsmoos and Igenhausen also belonged to the Hofmark. The Scherneck Patrimonial Court existed until the patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished in 1848.
Scherneck had been the headquarters of the Rehlinger family since the 11th century . In 1322 the Gumppenbergers acquired the Hofmark. Between 1457 or 1495 and 1579 or 1585, the Ebran zu Wildenberg temporarily owned the Hofmark and then the Gumppenbergers again. In 1626 it was inherited by Johann Heinrich Notthracht von Wernberg , who sold it to his son-in-law Karl Fuchs in 1636. He was followed as owners: Felix von Lodron , a Sandizeller from 1679 to 1696 , the Barons von Mayer from 1696 to 1822 and Tautphoeus in 1822. These sold the Hofmark in 1823 to Baron Johann Lorenz von Schaezler . The other independent Schaezler patrimonial courts Pichl and Stätzling - Wulfertshausen were also administered from Scherneck .
