The Auburn River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland .

River course

The river has its source in the Borania State Forest in the Auburn Range , part of the Great Dividing Range , a few kilometers east of Cracow . From there it first flows south to the Rockybar settlement and then turns its course to the east. At the Redbank settlement it turns south again and continues its course to the Auburn settlement. From there it flows in a northeasterly direction and flows into the Burnett River about ten kilometers southwest of Mundubbera .
