Bryan Rhodes
Bryan Rhodes (born January 28, 1973 in Taupo ) is a former New Zealand triathlete and multiple Ironman winner.
Career
He achieved his first major success in 1992 with fifth place at the World Triathlon Championships in Canada, where he won the world championship title in the team standings together with Paul Amey and Cameron Brown .
He has been a professional triathlete since 2000 and is a four-time winner of the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).
In 2009 he had to pause for about six months after an Achilles tendon rupture in August. In 2012 he ended his professional career.
His nickname is Rhodsey . He now lives in Sydney with his partner, triathlete Christie Sym .
