Christie Sym (born December 6, 1983 ) is a triathlete from Australia .

Career

Her nickname is "Syms". She is a two-time junior national champion.

In December 2009, Christie Sym finished second in her first start on the Ironman distance (3.86 km swim, 180.2 km bike and 42.195 km run).

After an injury, she had to end her professional career in 2012 and take a break for two years. In August 2014 she started again successfully at the Challenge Gold Coast and finished 14th. It has not appeared internationally since 2015.

She lives with her partner, the triathlete Bryan Rhodes (* 1973), in Sydney .
