Auckland Darts Masters

The Auckland Darts Masters was a darts tournament organized by the PDC . It was part of the World Series of Darts from 2015 to 2018 . The venue was the Trusts Arena in Auckland .

The last title holder was the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen , who won the final of the 2018 edition with 11: 4- legs against his compatriot Raymond van Barneveld .

format

The field of participants consists of 8-16 players. Eight of these are placed and the other eight may be unset.

In addition to the top 6 of the PDC Order of Merit, two further wildcards will be awarded before the season . These eight players form the eight seeded players in each tournament in the World Series series . In addition, eight players from Oceania have the opportunity to qualify as unseeded players.

The tournament will be played in a knockout system . In the 1st round the game mode is a best of 11 legs . The quarter-finals are played in the best of 19 legs mode, the semi-finals and the final in the best of 21 legs mode.

Prize money

The Auckland Darts Masters prize money has not been officially announced.

Since this is an invitation tournament, the prize money won will not be taken into account when calculating the PDC Order of Merit.
