The Resurrection Church is the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish in the Bergl district of the city of Schweinfurt . The parish is part of the Schweinfurt deanery .

history

The parish came into being in the course of the settlement of the Bergl district through numerous migrations to Schweinfurt in the 1950s. It was initially supplied by the Kreuzkirche in the Oberndorf district. Between 1958 and 1959 the architect Olaf Andreas Gulbransson from Munich built the Church of the Resurrection. When it was completed, a parish of its own was founded, even after being separated from Oberndorf. The first divine service with inauguration took place on Eternity Sunday 1959. In 1962 the church tower was also built. Between 2012 and 2013 the church underwent extensive renovations.
