#aufstehn is a non - profit, non - governmental organization founded in 2015 and based in Vienna . It was founded on the model of participatory, civil society online platforms such as Campact , 38 Degrees or MoveOn and offers an internet-based participation forum with which people can come together online based on their concerns. The most successful campaigns in recent years include #solidaritystorm, the # aufstehn campaign against hatred and sexual violence online. Manager Maria Mayrhofer was awarded the Vienna Women's Prize in 2016 for the initiative against hate online .
